Sneakers & Friends is all about celebrating the people behind the sneakers.

For this chapter, we visited our neighbours at SUKU, the Collingwood studio founded by Christine Lafian. Drawing on the colours, textures, and visual language of Indonesia, SUKU brings together heritage and contemporary design through a thoughtfully curated collection of homewares and objects.

Set amongst the studio's layered interiors, the team wore the ASICS Hypersync. Revived from the ASICS archive, its mesh construction, metallic detailing, and understated profile felt right at home within SUKU's world of pattern, texture, and collected pieces.

A meeting of two communities connected by a shared appreciation for design, culture, and considered living.
