Sharing our vision for celebrating and empowering women, Melbourne based DJ and producer SANA brings the latest For The Honeys offering, featuring a glimmering mix of House and Amapiano remixes.
Kicking off her path in DJing with friends events and house parties, SANA has swiftly excelled onto club gigs such as Tees Yard, Let's Vibe, Blaqchella and Riddim.
"In a way, people may think I got it easy but, I think if you want to be involved in a scene, you already have to be in there supporting, connecting and showing love to the people. I’ve been here!"
Oh, and did we mention she's the touring DJ for Pania?
"This came up organically as we’ve known each other for a couple of years through the creative events happening in Melbourne. Spending time with her doing rehearsals or travelling around Melbourne and Sydney for performances is a comedy show, all we do it laugh (we still serious about the bag though don’t get it twisted). She’s my sis and I’m so proud of the hard work she puts in and her big heart."
You can tell there's something very special about For the Honeys Volume 25.
"I love House music, especially the sub genre, Amapiano. This has a different groove to it. I was first hesitant to put a bunch of remixes together, but, it reminded me of my country, Fiji and how we remix every single song to our sound."
Inspired but the likes of Kaytranada and Sango, SANA's next move is stepping into music production so expect to hear original tracks infused throughout her DJ sets very soon.
