Salomon and New York based designer Sandy Liang have teamed up to reimagine the XT-6 Expanse in a collaboration that evokes '90s nostalgia, whilst remaining true to the heritage brand's DNA. This partnership is the first of its kind between the two brands, after their relationship began when Salomon was the footwear of choice for Liang's 2021 Spring/Summer runway show. This reinvigoration of the classic XT-6 silhouette sees a Cradle Pink and Jolly Green palette being applied to Salomon’s signature stitched paneling and retro Sensifit™ construction. The Agile Chassis System™ and lug geometry on the outsole deliver trusted stability and functionality for every kind of terrain. The anime inspired flower decals incorporated into the design call back to Liang's love of wearing sneakers in the '90s. Despite this being the first female-led partnership for Salomon, this is a collaboration that thrives off their own respective histories and is successful in being conscious of designing for the moment we are in.
