This performance runner turned sneaker icon was the first to utilise the innovative visible Air Max unit which prided itself on providing flexibility and spring without compromising structure. Whilst the Air Max 1's official debut was in 1987, this offering calls back to the initial version from 1986, which is indicated by its larger and elongated bubble. In true retro-fashion, the pair sports its classic Nike Air branding and Sport Red motif in the same colour-blocking as its OG predecessor. Coupled with premium suede and breathable mesh panels, the replication of the original specs allows the new generation to attain a piece of history and long-time collectors to relive the excitement surrounding the shoe that started it all.
