The Asics EX89 sees a faithful re-release of the original Basketball sneaker from the late '80s. Designed by Toshikazu Kayano (creator of the well-loved Kayano series) during the height of the Basketball sneaker frenzy, the EX89 holds the legacy of Asics' foray into leagues outside of athletics. The midsole comes fitted out with the GEL-EXTREME tech and combines the retro aesthetic with a modern sole perfect for everyday wear. Tinges of light blue detail the sockliner, leather overlays and tread underfoot while a yellow tinted midsole reminds us of Asics long history in the sneaker world.
