The Air Jordan 3 Retro "Wizards" is truly a first of its kind, with this inaugural colourway highlighting Michael Jordan's limited run with the Washington Wizards. The 2001-02 season is one that is often overlooked by Jordan fanatics as the GOAT had already gone through two retirements with decreasing playing ability. Of course, Jordan being Jordan, having part ownership of a severely underperforming and widely dubbed "irrelevant" team wasn't enough for him - he was determined to have one Last Dance, which he did, and despite his declining physical state he managed to achieve some pretty underrated accomplishments. This era also gave us this Player Exclusive which has never been released to the public up until now. This AJ3 is akin to the "True Blue" colourway at first glance, however there are some differences that indicate its uniqueness. The first being that this particular colourway made its initial debut in 2001, gracing the hardwood during MJ's first season with the Evergreen State team. Another point of difference is the shade of the blue on this offering is lighter than its True Blue counterpart, with hits of Metallic Copper accenting the lower eyelets and Jumpman logo on the tongues. From there on out, the shoe features the classic mix of Cement-style colour blocking that we know and love.
